Summary
This project includes a Phase III expansion to the University Center along with Life Safety Code and Texas Accessibility Standards upgrades to the previous University Centers. The expansion includes accommodations for student organizations including general meeting/conference rooms, dedicated organizational rooms, student affairs staff offices, a game room, a commercial-grade kitchen, and (2) ballrooms with a new elevator and support spaces. In addition, a coffee shop and sandwich shop have been allocated space in the design.
Spaces Provided
Student organization complex (includes student affairs director/assistant directors/miscellaneous personnel offices, training room), 3 sets of accessible public restrooms, dedicated student organization meeting rooms (SGA, Voices, CAB, Ambassadors, Greek & Honors) with associated storage, graphics room, break room, (2) ballrooms with room divider, quiet study areas, (3) meeting rooms, commercial-grade kitchen with food storage, mechanical & electrical rooms, janitor closets, fire stairs, elevator, (4) conference rooms, (2) commuter central rooms (quiet & noisy), game room, security/IDF/CATV closets, sandwich & coffee shops.
