Devine Avenue Parking Lot Closed for NTEP Project

The Devine Avenue Parking Lot, including four (4) Facilities FCMS, seven (7) Reserved, two (2) Handicapped and seven (7) NTEP contractor (Win-Sam) slots, will be closed from 6:00 p.m. on, Friday, February 3, 2017 until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2017 to allow equipment vehicles access to the North Thermal Energy Plant (NTEP) for delivery of the new boiler.  The OIT slots located on the northeast corner of the parking lot will remain open for use – heavy traffic in and around these slots may cause access delays.  For additional information, please contact the Facilities Service Center at 458-4262.


MBT: Maintenance on Exhaust Fans #1, 2, 3, and 8

Work to perform electric motor maintenance on exhaust fans #1, 2, 3 and 8 located at the Margaret Batts Tobin (MBT) is scheduled for Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 6:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.  Work on exhaust fans #1 and #2 are not expected to impact daily operations.  Exhaust fans #3 (room 1.312) and #8 (radioisotope exhaust) will be turned-off and will not be available for use during this time.  Service will be restored by no later than 2:00 p.m. on Jan 28th.  For additional information, please contact the Facilities Service Center at 458-4262.


Soil Testing South of GSR and NPB

Geotechnical testing of soil located south of the GSR and NPB and north of Cocke Drive will be performed between January 17, 2017 and January 20, 2017. West Campus Parking Spaces Closed for Delivery of Modular Trailer

Parking spaces located in front of the West Campus Center for Archaeological Research (CAR) building and Surplus Warehouse will be closed-off from 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2017 for delivery and installation of the EHSRM modular trailer. During this time there will be no parking available in this area. The parking lot/spaces will re-open at 5:00 p.m. on Jan 22nd. DTC FS: Installation of Bird Netting

Work to install bird netting at the DTC Frio Street (FS) Building glassed-in (pyramid) breezeway is scheduled from January 16, 2017 until January 22, 2017. The project, that includes the use of a bucket lift, is not expected to impact daily operations. For additional information, please contact the Facilities Service Center at 458-4262.


BB: Fire Alarm Audio Testing in Room 2.01.08

Required testing of the Business Building (BB) fire alarm audio system in room 2.01.08 is scheduled from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on February 20, 2017. Testing will include intermittent sounding of the audio equipment alarm sirens and voice warnings. An intercom announcement will be made prior to the start of testing.
