(September 23, 2020) – UPDATE: The exhaust fans (5/6/7) are operational. Fume hoods and other lab equipment can be used. We will need to make an additional repair to the sprinkler line, which will require us to shut down the fans again. However, we will send a notification in advance of the shutdown.
(September 21, 2020) – Exhaust fans 5, 6, and 7, in the Biotechnology Sciences and Engineering Building (BSE), will be shut down immediately to facilitate an emergency repair to a sprinkler line. These exhaust fans service laboratories on the southeast side of the building. Fume hoods are not available for use during this shutdown and building occupants will likely experience warmer room temperatures. We will make the repair to the sprinkler line as quickly as possible and send an email when the repair is complete and the exhaust fans are back in service. For additional information, please contact the Facilities Service Center at (210) 458-4262.
