Spring and summer weather conditions have resulted in an increase of field crickets throughout San Antonio and on UTSA campuses. Crickets are more active at night and migrate toward lighted streets and buildings. They can be seen, and heard, in buildings, courtyards and classrooms. They enter buildings through open windows and doorways.
Steps to treat, clean and monitor the cricket infestation on UTSA campuses began yesterday, October 8, 2019. Crickets will be removed from all interior and exterior areas of the campuses including inside of buildings. For additional information, contact the Facilities Service Center at 458-4262.
