(March 28, 2019) – While UTSA students and many faculty and staff were out recharging from the winter months, Facilities was gearing up for a week of special projects. Spring break, like most other university holidays, is the perfect time for Facilities to perform tasks that are more challenging when classes are in session and campus life is buzzing with activity.
The campus shines brighter because the Facilities Grounds, Housekeeping, Movers and Quality Assurance teams dedicated spring break to beautifying the campus. The teams deep cleaned the floors, carpets and windows in classrooms, restrooms, offices and common work/study spaces and soft washed walking and window surfaces in core areas of the campus.
In order to complete the project before students began returning to campus, the teams maximized their time by working overtime and on weekends. Thanks to their efforts, the campus looks great.
