Monterey Café Expansion Project Complete

(August 3, 2018) – The project, a unique collaboration between Facilities, contactors, and College of Architecture (COA) students, to expand the Monterey Building’s café is complete. The uniqueness began with COA students competing for the winning predesign as part of their class final and continued with their participation in the final design phase. According to Elyse Danielle, Facilities Project Coordinator, the project “turned out great and was a really cool experience for the COA students to actually make an impact on their actual learning space in their building.” Construction included the addition of approximately 800 square feet of air conditioned space and new flooring, lighting, furniture and landscaping. With the project complete, the COA now has more space for students to study, relax, and display architectural models
