(November 13, 2019) – Facilities welcomes five former Environmental Health, Safety, and Risk Management (EHSRM) employees to the Facilities family: Anastacio Alvarez, Ernesto Chapa, Richard Gutierrez, Keith Kewley, and David James. Their assignment to Facilities was announced by UTSA Business Affairs on October 15, 2019, and designed to improve services to the campus through a distributed model that streamlines decision-making and groups employees with similar functions.
The new Environmental Management group is aligned under the Facilities’ Business and Customer Services department and they will provide stormwater management, construction safety, environmental testing, and trash and recycling services for the UTSA community. The skill sets of the Environmental Management team mesh nicely with the core functions of Facilities and its mission of improving the physical environment.
