(October 25, 2021) – Raymond Rosalez is our amazing Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator! He inspects campus grounds, housekeeping, and ensures all roads, parking lots, and garages are clean and safe for our Roadrunners. Prior to working in QA, he worked as a Building Attendant for 9 years in Housekeeping where he cleaned floors, changed lights, and high-dusted in classrooms, offices, and corridors.
One of Raymond’s favorite projects involved improving the irrigation system on campus. In the past months, Raymond has assisted with adding two new irrigation zones near the Student Success Center. He’s installed more than 1,000 pipes that will be connected to sprinklers that allow 24/7 irrigation monitoring. “I’ve really enjoyed working on this project! My favorite part is that it has taught me new skills that I can keep using to improve our campus and reduce water waste,” said Raymond.

To stay up-to-date with industry developments, Raymond regularly attends meetings with the San Antonio Irrigation Association. Additionally, he is training for his Irrigation Technician and Pest Control licenses. “I’m always looking for ways to learn and expand my knowledge so I can stay on top of trends” mentioned Raymond.
In his free time, Raymond enjoys hands-on work with roofing, drywall or landscaping projects. His real passion; however, is spending time with his wife and kids doing what he likes the most – fishing. “I love to fish! Each time I can, I take my family out to a river or lake, usually Paradise Canyon on the Medina River” said Raymond.

When Raymond isn’t fishing, he is cooking up his favorite meals like lasagna and fajitas while cheering for the Dallas Cowboys or supporting the San Antonio Spurs. If you spot Raymond at one of the games, say hello. He enjoys meeting new people!
