(June 12, 2018) – The City of San Antonio is now in Stage 2 drought restrictions according to the San Antonio Water System (SAWS). Stage 2 restrictions begin when the 10-day rolling average of the Edwards Aquifer level reaches 650 feet mean sea level at the monitored well.
In support of water conservation and environmental stewardship, UTSA campuses will water only on Mondays between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. or 7:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. SAWS granted variances also permit the university to power wash, operate the Sombrilla Fountain and water special use areas that include athletic and sports fields.
For more information on UTSA’s compliance with drought restrictions or to assist with ongoing conservation efforts by reporting water leaks and offering suggestions, please contact the Facilities Service Center at 458-4262.
